We were thrilled that we picked up a Merit Award in the Avant Garde Portrait Photography category at this years SWPP (The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers) 20×16 Print Competition!
The award was for our portrait of beautiful ballerina Marloes, from our photoshoot in the stunning Chateau des Clotes in Toulouse. If you’d like to see some more images from our Toulouse commission with our clients Julia & Bas and their children Marloes, and Boris, you can see some on our blog here.
The entries were all judged this week during the SWPP 2017 Convention, by a panel of five judges and one panel chair who bring their experience and expertise to the competition. The SWPP says “The whole focus of the exercise is to reward excellence and innovation in professional photography in 2016. It is about creating benchmarks and standards gleaned from the input and discussion of industry peers.”
The award-winning photographs have all been on display at the convention all week for the 15,000+ delegates from all over the world to see.
We love pushing boundaries, and working with our clients to create images which are fresh and different – if you have an idea you’d like to discuss, or just want to find out more about our portrait sessions feel free to contact us, we’d love to hear from you.
