We first met Jo & Martin back in 2013 when their first child, Pippa, had arrived on the scene and was about 8 months old. We spent a few hours with them all, along with their dogs and Pippa’s pony, capturing some lovely family portraits as a memory. Jo’s lovely mum Barbara also joined us for the photoshoot, and so clearly had an amazing bond with baby Pippa. We could soon see that Pippa had inherited her parents “horse-loving genes” as at just 8 months old she clearly adored being in the saddle – Jo and Martin have a beautiful equine stud farm with some incredible stallions and mares who are used for breeding.

Roll on a few years, and we were heading back to the beautiful  Somerset farm, this time to capture the latest addition to the family, Annabel. Barbara joined us again, and we started with a few portraits inside the farmhouse before heading outside for a few pictures of Pippa running around and Annabel showing off her super crawling skills.

Of course we just couldn’t finish the shoot without a few ponies on the set, this time it was ‘Pollyanna’ and ‘Scrumptious’, their two adorable Shetlands, who came out of their stables for a few shots with the girls, and a family shot with Jo and Martin. It was also a delight during the shoot, watching one of the family’s beautiful young foals, “Mojo” rolling around enjoying the sunshine with her mum, in the field next to us. The fun and the bond this family have all shines through in the photos!
