Whenever we get the chance, we love stepping outside of our comfort zone and doing something different! So when Bea, one of our Young Sponsored Riders, and her mum Sharon asked about finding a memorable location to do a special photoshoot with Bea and her beloved pony, Cannon, we were excited at the prospect of shooting somewhere new and inspiring!

We started researching locally  and having approached a couple of different venues, we were over the moon when Grittleton House, in Wiltshire, said yes to hosting our shoot.

We visited the location and were blown away with Grittleton’s amazing drama and stunning architecture, we knew it was perfect! Grittleton House an imposing Grade II listed country house, the family home to the Shipp family and has been in their careful hands for more than 50 years

In Bea’s words: “Grittleton House is a magical place that looks like it’s out of a fairytale. I can’t imagine how amazing it must feel to get married at such a special place. Every detail was perfect.”

With this shoot, we wanted to create a set of images that were special, personal and different. Having chatted through ideas with Bea and Sharon, we settled on two completely different looks: firstly, a traditional, classical English hunting look with a top hat, fitting the historic country house setting; and secondly, a softer, more romantic feeling, to capture the wonderful bond between Bea and Cannon, with Bea wearing a soft pink floaty dress.

On the day of the shoot, the weather was perfect – soft overcast light, with some sunshine, perfect for an October day. We started with the Hunting look and we think Bea and Cannon both looked amazing!

We then had a break, allowing time for Bea to change and refresh and Cannon to have a breather, while Nic and I chose our final backdrops for the softer, more romantic look, to capture the wonderful bond and connection that these two have.

Bea said: “Wearing the dress made me feel very elegant, like a princess! I loved how it fitted in with the setting, and it was definitely my favourite look.”

She added “All in all, I was overwhelmed at how amazing the photographs are! So much thought and imagination went into setting up each shot, which has made them so memorable.”
