This weeks “shot of the week” is a photograph of beautiful black Lusitano stallion “Atinado”, whom we photographed down at Southey Farm in Somerset last year with his owner Zoe. I love this shot just because of the energy  and “mojo” this horse has, the beautiful shape and muscular form he makes in this image, it captures something about the real energy of “horse”.

Initially I didn’t love this shot – the lighting isn’t perfect, it was shot late afternoon but the sun was still quite strong so the shadows are a little harsh. Sometimes though, its the sentiments surrounding a shot which really make it, not the technical perfection.
