We’re excited to announce that young eventer Lottie Byrnes from Gloucestershire is our Social Media Ambassador for 2019!

Our first ever social media ambassador was fantastic young rider Lottie Roberts in 2018, this year Lottie Byrnes will be following in her footsteps! Lottie is a 16 year old eventer based in Whitfield, Gloucestershire, who was one of our 2018 Young Sponsored Riders. We were so impressed with her initiative, her passion for her sport, and with her talent and commitment to her own social media, that we decided to offer her this post for 2019.

Lottie has been riding since she was 2 years old, and her love for jumping started with one of her first ponies, Clover. In Lottie’s words: “Clover is still with us today and I have lost count of how many times she has chucked me off – but also taught me so much and sparked my love for jumping!”  Since those early days, Lottie has come a long way in her eventing, not without its ups and downs, but always being focussed, driven and believing in her horses. Late in 2017 Lottie was loaned a dressage horse called Dizzee, he had never jumped before so moving to eventing was a huge challenge, and many believed it wouldn’t work. Roll on 2019, and Lottie and Dizzee have just completed their first BE Novice with a clear round – how amazing is that?! Its this total passion and commitment that has always impressed us with Lottie, and which made it an easy choice to ask her to be a part of the JHP team!

Lottie said: “I am really active on social media, particularly Instagram where I have slowly built up an amazingly loyal following of almost 32k followers. I try to post at the same time every day and update everyone on my progress with main horses Hugo, Dizzee and Evan. I also love posting on Facebook to keep my friends and family updated on my progress and to catch up with everyone else and share in their successes.

I was so lucky to be Jo and Nic’s sponsored rider last year and had such amazing support from them! So I am so honoured to be chosen to be their social media ambassador this year and I can’t wait to share with my groups what they are up to and all the exciting events they are going to do. I especially can’t wait to share their awesome photos!!!”
