We worked with Phoebe for some years at Ston Easton Park while she was event planner at the venue, so when she asked us to come and capture her own wedding day at the beautiful family-owned Nyland Manor in Cheddar, we were completely honoured. We knew this would be a wedding with style and attention to detail, yet at the same time relaxed and fun.

The day dawned in April and the sun was shining as we headed to Somerset to capture the preparations of both parties. Phoebe looked nothing short of stunning in her gorgeous Sassi Holford gown, with gorgeous mint coloured shoes by Rachel Simpson; Jon and boys looked great in a lovely blue Ted Baker suits.

The church, just up the road from Nyland in Draycott, was stunningly decked with flowers by the talented Lisa Elliott Floral Design, in sumptuous coral tones, to contrast the bridesmaids aqua dresses. After a wonderful ceremony and confetti ,we all headed back to the Manor for reception drinks and photographs. The sun shone all day so we captured a few groups and informal shots inside, then everyone headed into the marquee for dinner followed by a ceilidh.

We loved the fun entertainment by the skilled Silhouette Artist, Charles Burns “The Roving Artist” who gave guests his beautifully crafted silhouettes to take home; the beautiful colours and styling of the marquee, combined with the fun and relaxed atmosphere of this day.

This was the first wedding we had captured in this gorgeous location, the evening sunset sky was just incredible, so we asked the couple to join us for 20 minutes outside by the Lake and bridge, to capture a few moody evening shots – a perfect finale to a wonderful day.
