This week we couldn’t resist choosing this image of black Lusitano ‘Atinado’, captured in the Great Hall at Crowcombe Court last week with beautiful Charlotte in a stunning wedding gown, as our “Shot of the Week”.

Horse wedding Jo Hansford

This photograph is the first from our amazing equine wedding photoshoot at the beautiful Crowcombe Court in the Quantocks. After months of planning this styled shoot, we spent a day with our fantastic team of suppliers capturing our two models, Charlotte & Flo, with 3 horses from Southey Farm, Wellington:  Atinado, the black Lusitano in this shot, Miro, a white Spanish PRE, and Zefyr, a black Fresian.

We wanted to capture some exciting and fresh images that combined two of our big passions – horses and weddings, so earlier this year we started planning ideas, location and models for this shoot, and it was amazing watching the plan come together last week!

Horses are obviously big, sensetive and intelligent creatures so we were unsure how Atinado would react to this unusual request to go inside the house to have his photograph taken. He was wonderfully calm and collected going into the Great Hall and just stood beautifully for this shot, completely unphased!

We’re in the middle of a very hectic time here but will be featuring more images from this shoot soon, so watch this space! With huge thanks to the team – Crowcombe Court, our models Charlotte Paramore and Flo Dawes, dresses by Lisa Keating (http://lkbespokebridal.co.uk/), hair by Chris Fordham of Fordham Hair Design (http://www.fhdmobile.co.uk/), makeup by Nina Norman makeup (http://www.ninanorman.co.uk/), Southey Farm who brought the horses along (http://www.southeyfarm.co.uk/),  flowers by Emma Urquhart of Brompton Buds (http://www.bromptonbuds.com/), headpieces by Hermione Harbutt (https://www.hermioneharbutt.com/).
