Its the middle of winter, but that doesn’t mean our equine shoots come to a standstill, or we can’t get beautiful photographs! This session with Amelia a couple of weeks ago, it was one of those wintery English days – it rained and was pretty cold, so we wrapped up and just spent 40 minutes capturing her and her pony Steve in stables.

We love doing equine shoots in the winter as much as we do in the summer – think crisp frosty morning or rolling mist – we love embracing the winter look with warm jumpers, woolly hats and long boots. It looks great! Here in UK we have a lot of soft light in winter, and the sun sets earlier in the day, both of which are great for us as equine photographers.

Here are a few favourites shots from the mini session with Amelia and Steve. If you’re interested in an equine shoot, our standard equine photoshoot is 2-3 hours and costs £150 which includes the shoot time, travel up to 30 miles of BS3, all editing, with a first 10″ mounted print.
