We first met Alex at Gatcombe Festival of British Eventing back in 2013 when she visited our stand. In 2015 she called us as she had decided it was time to have a photoshoot with her gorgeous grey warmblood horse, Oli, who was 14. He was soon to be retired, so Alex wanted some lovely memories with him, before that happened.
We decided to do her shoot around her yard and the surrounding beautiful countryside just outside Bath, and a date was booked for a June Sunday.
We had a gorgeous sunny day and when we arrived Oli was being bathed, pampered and plaited ready for his shoot. This horse has the most beautiful head and neck, and looked just stunning with his mane plaited.
After some shots around the yard and stable, we walked up to the nearby country lanes, and finally finished with some more dramatic lit shots of Oli up on the hill against a blue sky.
Not only is Oli a great looking boy, he also obviously has one big sense of humour – I have never, ever seen a horse gurn as much…..if we were running a “biggest horsey grin” competition, he would have won hands (hoofs!) down!
