Today we’re sharing a little preview of a fab equine photoshoot we did last month over in the beautiful Cotswolds with Willa and her ponies – its Willa’s 13th birthday so it seemed perfect timing to share a sneak peek!

We met Willa and her mum at Badminton earlier in the year, and settled on an August Sunday for Willa’s photoshoot with Wizzy, her old pony, a 14 year old chestnut Welsh section B, and Chilli, her new ride, who  is 8 and a Welsh section D, also chestnut.  Wizzy has this year gone to a new owner, who kindly let Willa “borrow” him back for a few hours for the shoot. When they arrived at the shoot location, we were taken by how similar the two ponies are – Wizzy is like a miniature version of Chilli!

We loved Willa’s amazing fashion sense and the ‘look’ she created for the shoot –  a casual shirt and jeans to start,  then a gorgeous bold red top, shorts and cowboy hat for some countryside shots.  The last hour of the shoot, we did some dramatic shots using our location lights, for which she changed into a dress – you’ll have to wait and see these images once they are ready in a few weeks!

Finally  Willa changed into her athletics kit –  one of the things her mum Briony mentioned while we planned this shoot, was that we needed to  incorporate some photographs of Willa riding, since she’s an incredibly athletic girl. She is also currently THE top U13 60m hurdler in the country – how amazing is that! –  and 4th 70m hurdler for U13 girls! She’s clearly a talented, naturally able rider – one to watch for the future!
