Back in September we had a lovely email from Julie asking if we could take some photos of her 15 year old daughter, Amy, and her pony Alfie, along with a few photos of the whole family. The photoshoot was a gift for Amy, and timed because Alfie was due to go to a new home during the next few months, as Amy had outgrown him.

A few weeks later, we popped in to meet them all and plan the shoot. As well as Amy with Alfie, who was clearly very dear to Amy and the family, Julie also wanted some memories of her 22 year old horse Josh, their two dogs, and the whole family together.

The shoot took place on a Sunday afternoon in October and we were chuffed when the sun came out as we headed over to Sherston!  The session was relaxed and a lot of fun – we started with stable shots of Amy with Alfie and Josh, and then Mum had a few shots with Josh.  We walked up the lane  to find a few different backgrounds to capture Amy with her pony. Fortunately for us even the four leggeds were pretty ‘laid back’ about posing for their photos and the afternoon flew by. After a short break and a well needed cup of tea, followed by a clothing change for our models, we finished with some  ‘last light’ shots of Amy & Alfie in one of the fields by the house, then some more dramatic lit shots of them, and the same of Julie and Josh, a great finale.
