Horse photography at the Royal Andulusian School of Equestrian Art, Jerez de la Frontera – shot of the week

With two weeks of dressage competition having just finished earlier this month at the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art in Jerez de la Frontera (, it seemed fitting to have a photograph from our photoshoot at the school as “shot of the week” this week. It was amazing watching all the top dressage riders work their magic in the stunning surroundings of the school!

This photograph was our 2014 Christmas card and was taken during our two day commission with the school, capturing all the horses and riders. At the end of our second day,  stunning PRE stallion ‘Vejador’ was pampered and prepared to go into the palace to be photographed in one of the beautiful chandelier rooms. This shot was part of series taken while he was there.

If you’d like to read a little more about ‘the story behind our Christmas card’ you can do so here. If you’re interested in an equine photoshoot,  take a look at our portfolio here.

With thanks to Sherene and team at Sussex Lusitanos, without whom this shoot would never have taken place, and to the fantastic team at the school for all their hard work and assistance during the shoot.
