Here is our ‘shot of the week’ this week, a beautiful engagement shoot in Somerset.

I love this shot just because it conveys such a lovely chilled out, relaxed weekend feeling. The composition, and the space on the right of the image, give me sense of space, openness and rolling hills – Emma & Sam chose the location for their engagement session, and had decided on the Mendip Hills, as this is where Emma grew up, surrounded in beautiful Somerset countryside. We like to make our engagement photoshoots very individual and personal to a couple, choosing a location and any styling/clothing which suits them and their tastes.

I also love the way the buttercups and colour of Emma’s dress give the picture a real spring-like feeling, and the couple just look so relaxed and happy! We like getting to know our couples in the run up to a wedding day, and an engagement shoot is a perfect way to break the ice, get to know each other better and have some fun taking photographs for a few hours. Emma and Sam also brought along ‘Freddie’, Emma’s family Boxer, who proved to be fabulous photo model in his own right – we always welcome four-legged guests on a photoshoot!

If you’d like to look through the whole shoot, you can see it here. Emma and Sam got married at beautiful Ston Easton Park in Somerset, if you want to look through their wedding photos too, they are here.

Feel free to share this on social media, if you’d like a chat about a wedding you’re planning or an engagement or couple photoshoot you’d like, please do get in touch.

Happy Friday everyone!
