Having known Dee and Ben as friends, and worked with them on many shoots since 2013, we knew from the outset that their wedding day would be spectacular! They didn’t disappoint and we were honoured to be asked to capture all the fun for them!
“Jo and Nic know us so well, and they really captured us as a couple. We never felt staged – the photography was always so fun and relaxed!
One of the things I love about Jo is her carefree nature, which is much like me, both of us will always just give things a go. I think that’s what enables Jo and Nic as a team to capture great photographs. It’s very chilled and fun and that really comes through in the images. “
We met Dee through our equine photography, and knowing her passion for horses, dogs and animals in general, we weren’t surprised that they chose to have several furry ‘special guests’ on their wedding day – two lovely Fresian horses with a carriage for transport, and their adorable Norfolk terrier ‘Rodger’, who was ring-bearer and of course, completely stole the show!
The couple got ready just up the road at the beautiful Cats Abbey, where we met them both on the wedding morning for preparations before heading off to Cripps Barn for their civil ceremony and reception. After a beautiful ceremony filled with emotion and fun, everyone headed into the glorious sunshine for confetti, drinks and photographs before the wedding meal and dancing.
One of our favourite parts of a wedding day shoot is couple photographs, a chance to get creative, and we loved being able to have time with Dee and Ben before and after the dinner to capture some special images. We popped a few smoke bombs to work some magic, used the beautiful woods and fields around stunning Cripps Barn to get some lovely shots.
We were also incredibly lucky to be blessed with the most stunning, beautiful sunset that evening! We put it to good use capturing some romantic and fun couple images of our newlyweds – these are my favorite images from the day, as I feel they reflect the free spirit Dee is!
We also loved the chilled out, fun evening vibe and the speeches – so much fun, laughter and love in the room!
Here are a few of our favourite images from the day for you to enjoy!
