We’re really excited to share a sneak peek from our photoshoot with Natasha Baker at home with her amazing horse ‘Cabral’, her Skye Terrier ‘Poppy’ and the yard’s lovely miniature Appaloosa ‘Pilgrim’!
This was our first time to capture Natasha with Cabral, whose stable name is JP. With JP Natasha won two Golds at the London 2012 Paralympics, became European Champion in 2013 and Double European Gold Champion in 2011. JP is a 14 year old Polish Warmblood gelding, owned by the Baker family, Christian Landolt and Mrs D Alder, and has trained with Natasha for 7 years.
And what an amazing boy he is – he was a complete ‘dude’ on our photoshoot, taking everything completely in his stride. He clearly has an amazing bond and connection with Natasha.
It’s an exciting time for this duo, as they are in the final selection for the Rio Paralympics, among 12 riders competing for 5 places. The selection will be announced on 14thJuly. Natasha, who recently spoke at Google’s Women Who Inspire event alongside Ruby Wax and the editor of Cosmopolitan, is keeping everything crossed for selection for the Rio Paralympics – as are we!
